EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that helps your brain heal from painful or overwhelming experiences. When something hard happens, your mind can get “stuck” on the memory, so it keeps showing up as panic, flashbacks, or feeling numb and on edge.
In EMDR sessions we don’t force you to retell every detail. Instead, we gently bring up a memory while using things like guided eye movements, tapping, or sounds. This helps your brain re-file the memory so it feels more distant and less intense. You still remember what happened, but it no longer runs your life or hijacks your body.
