Ingram Counseling and Wellness provides trauma-informed therapy for anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, and nervous system healing. Our practice focuses on helping clients move out of survival mode and into a greater sense of balance.
Support is offered through EMDR therapy and somatic approaches within a trauma-informed framework. These methods are used to help clients process trauma and better understand how stress shows up in the body.
Trauma-informed care means sessions are designed to be compassionate and supportive, with an understanding of how trauma can affect thoughts, emotions, and the nervous system. The goal is to create a space where clients can heal at a pace that feels manageable.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. At Ingram Counseling And Wellness, EMDR therapy is used to facilitate the brain’s natural ability to reprocess upsetting memories, reducing their emotional impact and helping clients develop healthier perspectives. This therapy involves guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation techniques while the client recalls specific trauma, allowing the brain to integrate the experience more adaptively. EMDR is particularly effective for conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties. Ingram Counseling And Wellness combines EMDR with personalized treatment plans to support comprehensive mental health and promote lasting wellness.
Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT) is a counseling approach that emphasizes the importance of relationships and connection in promoting emotional growth and healing. At Ingram Counseling And Wellness, RCT is used to help clients understand how relational disconnections impact their mental health and to foster healthier, more authentic connections with others. This therapy recognizes that personal struggles often arise from or are influenced by challenges in relationships and societal contexts. By focusing on empathy, mutual respect, and shared growth between the therapist and client, RCT supports clients in overcoming feelings of isolation, increasing resilience, and building supportive interpersonal networks. This approach aligns with Ingram Counseling And Wellness’s commitment to culturally sensitive, client-centered care that empowers individuals to achieve wellness through meaningful connection.
